 Visiting Jin-Shan, North East coast of Taiwan and the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research in Lon-Tan, Tao-Yuan (living in Taipei) ,

** We will go to Jin-Shan a small town between NPP1. and NPP2. Of course we will visit two of them and Nuclear waste Volume Reduction Center(VRC) inside the NNP2. in the morning.
In the afternoon, we will go to Institute of Nuclear Energy Research located in Long-Tan, Tao-Yuan. There is also a nuclear waste storage there and it had been planed to develop nuclear weapons.

Tour B
Travel to Orchid Island, site of nuclear waste dump, Two hours fight from Taipei.

**Orchid Island, a small island approximately 45 square kilometers in area situated off the southeast of Taiwan, has been the only home of the Tao people for thousands of years. The Tao is one of Taiwan indigenous peoples.
Since 1982, the amount of nuclear waste stored on Orchid Island from Taiwan's nuclear power plants has exceeded 100,000 barrels.  Runoff from the depository has reportedly leaked into the surrounding ocean. The Taiwan Government's act of storing nuclear waste on the island has without the Tao people's consent.

How to get to your accommodation

From CKS(Taipei) International Airport, you can either take a taxi or use shuttle bus to your accommodation.

1.Taxi from CKS(Taipei) International Airport
Airport Taxis is safe and easier for you, but it would cost around NT$1500, and take about 1 hour. We don't recommend this way.

2. Airport Shuttle Bus
As you get through customs, you will find Airport Shuttle Bus Service Counter at the corner of arrival lobby. Fee varies according to bus company, but around NT$140 to Taipei City. You take a shuttle bus to Hsingtien Temple, and then take a taxi to your accommodation. From Hsingtieb Temple, it cost around NT$150 to your accommodation.

Note, you mist be very careful about your taxi driver in the city. Some of them might try to cheat you. It is very important that you make sure your taxi driver down the meter. Unfortunately, foreigners being cheated is not rare case in Taipei. Also, if you require a receipt, then please note it is not common practice for taxi driver to issue receipt. But a number of taxi drivers do  prepare receipt nowadays, thus worth asking for it.
